How to create a csa farm shares waitlist
Every February the same thing: an email blast, replies trickle in, someone keeps a tally on the kitchen table, and by March you have sold 64 shares of the 60 the field can carry. Then the awkward emails. The farm management software handles it, alongside forty features you will never open.

Step by step
Set up the 2027 season shares yourself
These are the exact values the recipe applies. Change any of them to match your line.
Create the waitlist
Sign in, click New waitlist, and name it "2027 season shares". It starts as a draft, so nothing is public until you publish.
Set capacity to 60 in total
In Settings, set the capacity to 60 in total. When the 60th person joins, the form reads as full and says so.
Leave the hours open
Under Hours, leave the schedule off so people can join at any time. You can pause the list by hand whenever you need to.
Add the form fields
Email is built in. On the Form tab, add Name (required), Phone (required), Share size (required), Pickup site (required). Labels and help text render as plain text.
Show the counter
In Settings, turn on the counter so the form shows how many spots are left. People join faster when they can see the number.
Publish and share
Click Publish. The Share tab has the hosted link, a QR code, and the script tag or iframe for your site. The submit button reads "Reserve a share".

Cap the season
Sixty shares. The form stops taking members at 60, in the database, not in a note.
Share size
A multiple-choice field. Count full and half shares from the CSV before you plan the beds.
Pickup site
A dropdown for the three sites. The Wednesday packing list is a filter.
Numbered members
"You're #41." Members know they have a share before they send money.
Payment on your terms
Send the invoice from your own tools once the reservation is in. Mark them served when it clears.
Next season
Rename the list, clear the entries, and share the same link in February.
FAQ
Questions people here ask
Can I cap each pickup site separately?
Yes. Change the pickup site field to a slot field and give each site its own capacity. The form greys out a site when it fills.
Can members pay for the share here?
No. Unwaited does not take payments. Send an invoice or checkout link after they reserve.
How do I keep a waitlist after the 60 fill?
Raise the cap and keep numbering, or create a second waitlist called "If a share opens" and link it from the full message.
Can returning members get first pick?
Open the list to returning members a week early by sharing the link only with them, then post it publicly.
