Residents take a paper ticket and stand in a lobby for an hour. Let them take the number on their phone and wait anywhere.
A QR code at the counter or a link on your website. They get a number, see how many are ahead, and come back when it's close.
Free to start. No card.

What goes wrong for local government
The ticket machine only works in the lobby
To hold a place, residents have to be physically there. So they are, for an hour, with nowhere to sit.
The counter closes with people still in line
At 4 PM there are twenty tickets left and two clerks. Nobody told the people at the back it would not be their turn today.
A new signup sheet for every clinic or hearing
Each event gets its own paper list or a form someone built once and nobody can edit.
How it works
Three steps, local government edition
Pick the ready-made list
There is one for local government. Open it, change what you like, and publish. It goes live with the limits and hours a real one uses.
Put the QR code next to the counter
Or the link in your bio. People scan it, type their email, and get a number. Nothing to install.
Run the line from your phone
You see everyone in order. Tap when it is their turn; they get an email. When you are full, the form says so.
Try it
This is what your customers see
A working copy of the city services walk-ins list. Type in it, switch tabs to see the others local government use. Use this template and you start from this exact setup, no account needed.
- 60 residents per day. The count starts over at 8:00 AM.
- Numbers are handed out Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, so the last number can still be served before 4:30.
- Asks for name, phone, and which service they need.
- Residents see their number and how many are ahead on their own phone.
Riverside City Hall
Permits counter. Take a number and we'll call it in order; check back here to see how many are ahead.
Why Unwaited
Made for a line, not for a survey
- A limit per day with your counter hours. When the day's numbers are gone, the form says so and shows tomorrow's opening time.
- Residents get a number and a page that shows how many are ahead, so they can wait in the car or run an errand.
- One list per service, each with its own limit and hours. Clerks mark people done from any phone or the front-desk computer.
FAQ
Questions
Can we run separate lines for permits, records, and payments?
Yes. Make one list per service, each with its own limit and hours, or put a service question on one list. Every plan allows as many lists as you need.
Is resident data kept private?
Names and emails are stored only as long as you choose. Set entries to delete automatically after a day, a week, or longer, per list. Nothing is sold or shared.
Do we need IT to set it up?
No. A clerk can set up a list in a few minutes and print the QR code. If your website team wants to, the form can also sit on a city web page.
