A batch starts with product stock.

Set the quantity for each product, add pickup choices, and share the batch page. The older bakery signup demo tracks places on a list, not units of inventory.

Stock belongs to each product

A request for three loaves commits three loaves. If any item is unavailable, the whole request fails without reserving the others. Two people cannot take the last unit at once.

Approval is a paid control

Starter and Pro can hold requests for owner approval while reserving stock. Free confirms new orders immediately and shows the customer a private status link on screen without a confirmation email.

Run one batch at a time

Set opening hours in Settings, offer pickup choices, work through Confirmed, Preparing, Ready, and Collected, and duplicate the batch for the next date. Pickup choices share stock; separate batches give separate inventory.

Questions

Does this charge customers?

No. Unwaited tracks requests and stock, not payment, tax, or refunds.

Does the old bakery signup template track loaves?

No. That Standard template caps signups. Choose a preorder batch for per-product stock.
