Workshops and classes

The signup form for workshops and small classes with limited seats

Sixteen seats a month across two Saturday sessions, a cohort of thirty, a sourdough class of eight. Unwaited caps each session, greys it out when it fills, and gives every student a number and a confirmation.

The problem

What goes wrong for workshops and classes

Nine people for eight wheels

The form does not know the session is full. You find out when the ninth person shows up.

A new form for every date

Each workshop gets its own Google Form and its own sheet. Last month's signups sit in a tab nobody opens.

Drop-outs do not tell you

A seat stays reserved for someone who is not coming while three people wait for a spot.

Ready-made waitlists

The recipes workshops and classes use

Each one is a ready-made waitlist with the capacity, hours, and fields a real operator would set. Sign in, one click, and it is live.

Why Unwaited

Built for this line, not a generic form

  • A Time slot field where each session has its own seat count, plus a per-month or total cap on top.
  • The same link every month. Slots refill when the capacity window resets; no new form.
  • Students get a confirmation email with a status link and can give up their seat themselves.

FAQ

Questions

Can students pick a date from a calendar?

No. Slots are labels with a seat count, like "Saturday 10:00 AM". That covers most workshop schedules without calendar setup.

Can I collect a deposit?

No. Unwaited does not take payments. Send an invoice or a checkout link when you confirm the seat.

What if a session is cancelled?

Export the CSV for that slot and email the students from your own tool, then remove the entries or rename the slot for the next date.
