For artists and promoters
How to create a concert presales waitlist
You post the presale link and within an hour the sheet has 9,000 rows, most of them junk. Fans who signed up honestly do not know if they made it. Ticketing asks for a clean list of emails by city and you spend the weekend deduplicating.
The presale form is a Google Form and the bots found it first. 6 steps, about five minutes, or one click with the recipe below.
Step by step
Set up the Fall tour presale yourself
These are the exact values the recipe applies. Change any of them to match your line.
Create the waitlist
Sign in, click New waitlist, and name it "Fall tour presale". It starts as a draft, so nothing is public until you publish.
Set capacity to 2000 in total
In Settings, set the capacity to 2000 in total. When the 2000th person joins, the form reads as full and says so.
Leave the hours open
Under Hours, leave the schedule off so people can join at any time. You can pause the list by hand whenever you need to.
Add the form fields
Email is built in. On the Form tab, add Name (required), Show (required), Tickets (required). Labels and help text render as plain text.
Hide the counter
In Settings, leave the counter off. The form still refuses signups past the cap; it just does not show the running total.
Publish and share
Click Publish. The Share tab has the hosted link, a QR code, and the script tag or iframe for your site. The submit button reads "Get presale access".
Or do it in one click
Use the recipe
The "Fall tour presale" recipe creates the waitlist with every step above already done. Sign in, click once, and it is live as a draft you can publish.

How the list runs
Cap the presale
2,000 spots. The form stops taking names at 2,000.
Pick a show
A dropdown for city and date. Export by show for each venue's allotment.
Tickets per fan
A number field, 1 to 4. The total per show is in the export.
Keep bots out
Captcha, honeypot, timing check, and per-IP limits. Scripts get a fake success and no row.
Hide the count
Turn off the public count. Fans see their number, not how many are left.
Hand off the list
CSV by show in position order, or a webhook per signup into your ticketing partner on Pro.
