Link in bio

Add a waitlist to Instagram bio

Put your waitlist link in your Instagram bio and the QR code in your posts.

Steps

Where it goes in Instagram bio

Takes a few minutes. Nothing to install on your side; the form loads from Unwaited and keeps the cap, hours, and numbers there.

  1. Copy the hosted link

Open your waitlist, go to Share, then Link and QR, and copy the hosted page address. It looks like unwaited.com/your-handle/your-list.

  2. Add it to your profile

In the Instagram app open your profile, tap Edit profile, tap Links, then Add external link. Paste the address and give it a title like Join the list. The first link shows as the button on your profile.

  3. Use the QR code in stories and posts

Download the QR code from the Share tab and put it on a story, a flyer, or the counter. It points at the same page as the bio link.

FAQ

Questions

Can I add a link to a post caption?

No, Instagram does not link captions. Say "link in bio" or put the QR code on the image.

Will the form work in Instagram's browser?

Yes. The hosted page is a small plain page. The joiner sees their number and gets the confirmation email.

How do I stop DMs asking if it is full?

Turn on Show how many joined on the Design tab. The page shows spots taken, and when the list is full it says when it opens again.

Your form, on your site, in a minute.

Free for 100 signups a month. The embed works on every plan, and the hosted page is there when you have no site at all.
