Add a waitlist to Squarespace

Add a waitlist to a Squarespace 7.1 page with a Code block, or a button on plans that block scripts.

Steps

Where it goes in Squarespace

Takes a few minutes. Nothing to install on your side; the form loads from Unwaited and keeps the cap, hours, and numbers there.

  1. Copy the snippet from the Share tab

    Open your waitlist, go to Share, then Add to your site. Copy the script tag: <script src="https://unwaited.com/embed/v1.js" data-unwaited="your-slug" async></script>. It drops an iframe where it sits and resizes it as the form changes.

  2. Add a Code block

    Edit the page, hover the section, click the plus to add a block, and choose Code. Paste the script tag in the editor and keep the type set to HTML.

  3. Save and preview

    Click Save. Code blocks render only on the live site, not in the editor, so open the page in a new tab to see the form.

  4. On Personal or Basic, use a button

    Those plans do not run scripts or iframes in Code blocks. Add a Button block instead, attach the hosted link from the Share tab, and label it Join the waitlist.

FAQ

Questions

The form does not show in the editor. Is it broken?

No. Squarespace renders Code blocks on the published site only. View the live page.

Can I match my Squarespace fonts?

The form uses its own theme tokens: a system, serif, or Inter font family, plus your colors and corner radius from the Design tab.

Can I put it in the footer of every page?

Yes. Add the Code block to a footer section, and it appears site-wide.
