The CSA signup lives in an email thread and a paper ledger

Every February the same thing: an email blast, replies trickle in, someone keeps a tally on the kitchen table, and by March you have sold 64 shares of the 60 the field can carry. Then the awkward emails. The farm management software handles it, alongside forty features you will never open.

  • 60 shares in total. The 61st person sees the full message.
  • No opening hours. Open the list in February and pause it when the season starts.

Set it up yourself, step by step

The same values, typed in. About five minutes.

  1. Create the waitlist

    Open the "2027 season shares" template, change what you like, and press Publish. An emailed code makes it yours and puts it live; nothing is public before that.

  2. Set capacity to 60 in total

    In Settings, set the capacity to 60 in total. When the 60th person joins, the form reads as full and says so.

  3. Leave the hours open

    Under Hours, leave the schedule off so people can join at any time. You can pause the list by hand whenever you need to.

  4. Add the form fields

    Email is built in. On the Form tab, add Name (required), Phone (required), Share size (required), Pickup site (required). Labels and help text render as plain text.

  5. Show the counter

    In Settings, turn on the counter so the form shows how many spots are left. People join faster when they can see the number.

  6. Publish and share

    Click Publish. The Share tab has the hosted link, a QR code, and the script tag or iframe for your site. The submit button reads "Reserve a share".

FAQ

Questions people here ask

Can I cap each pickup site separately?

Yes. Change the pickup site field to a slot field and give each site its own capacity. The form greys out a site when it fills.

Can members pay for the share here?

No. Unwaited does not take payments. Send an invoice or checkout link after they reserve.

How do I keep a waitlist after the 60 fill?

Raise the cap and keep numbering, or create a second waitlist called "If a share opens" and link it from the full message.

Can returning members get first pick?

Open the list to returning members a week early by sharing the link only with them, then post it publicly.
