Waitlist capacity per day, week, or month

You can seat ten a night, bake forty loaves a day, or take twenty into Tuesday's class. A normal form does not know that. It keeps collecting names, and you spend the evening telling people they did not make it.

Plans: All plans. The monthly signup cap per account is separate: 100 on Free, 2,500 on Starter, 5,000 on Pro.

How it works

What the setting does

Set the number and the period

In Settings under General, enter a capacity and pick Total, Per day, Per week, or Per month. Total is a plain cap. The others start a fresh count every window.

Pick when the window resets

Choose a reset time in your own time zone, like 5:00 AM. Week windows reset on the weekday you pick; month windows reset on the 1st. The server does the math, DST included.

Take orders ahead with lead days

A lead of 2 days makes today's signups count toward the window two days out. A bakery opens Monday's forty loaves on Saturday, and the customer sees "#12 for Monday".

What the joiner sees

A number for the current window, like "You're #4 today". When the window is full, the form shows your full message and "Opens again tomorrow at 5:00 AM" in their local time.

Spots come back on their own

Removing an entry, or a joiner leaving from their status link, frees the spot inside the same window. Someone you marked as served keeps theirs.

Questions

Can I change the capacity while the list is open?

Yes. Raise it and the form reopens immediately. Lower it below the current count and the form reads as full until the next window.

Does the count reset at midnight?

Only if you tell it to. The reset time is yours, in your time zone. A restaurant that finishes service at 1:00 AM can reset at 5:00 AM so tonight's list stays tonight's.

What happens to the all-time count?

It stays. The API and the CSV carry both the window position and the overall position, so "#4 today" is also "#1,312 ever".

Can two people get the last spot at the same time?

No. Capacity is checked and the number is assigned inside one database lock per waitlist. One gets it, the other sees full.
