Eight mini sessions on a Saturday, five families each. The 10:30 fills first and a plain dropdown keeps offering it. Someone ends up double-booked and you find out from an angry email.

How it works
What the setting does
Add a Time slot field
On the Form tab, add the Time slot field and type one option per slot with the number of spots for each. The editor shows a running total. Names are just labels, so "Saturday 10:00 AM" or "Week of July 7" both work.
Full slots grey out
The form marks a slot Full the moment its spots are taken, shows "2 left" when three or fewer remain, and refreshes itself if someone else takes the last one while the page is open.
Enforced under the same lock as the number
The slot count is checked inside the database lock that assigns positions. Two people cannot both get the last 10:30. The API answers 409 slot_full with fresh counts.
Slots reset with your window
With a per-day, per-week, or per-month capacity, each slot refills when the window resets. A Monday class refills next week. Removing an entry or a joiner leaving frees the slot.

The overview lists taken and capacity per option for the current window, and the CSV carries the chosen slot for every entry.

Questions
Is this a calendar?
No. A slot is a label with a count. There are no dates, durations, or calendar sync. That keeps setup to a minute and works for time blocks, weeks, tables, or chairs alike.
Can I have a total cap and slot caps at once?
Yes. The total capacity is a backstop. Forty sessions in total across eight slots of five, for example. The form reads as full when either limit is hit.
Can slots have different sizes?
Yes. Five for the 9:00 AM, one for the 4:00 PM. Each option has its own number from 1 up.
Can someone book two slots?
One entry per email address. A second submit returns their existing spot. If they need to change, they leave from their status link and rejoin.
