For yoga and pilates studios

How to create a yoga studios waitlist

You email the schedule, students reply to claim a mat, and you keep a tally in a spreadsheet. Someone always books a class that filled an hour ago. Booking software wants a monthly fee and a contract for a studio with three classes a week.

The week's schedule goes out Sunday and the inbox fills by Monday. 7 steps, about five minutes, or one click with the recipe below.

Step by step

Set up the This week's classes yourself

These are the exact values the recipe applies. Change any of them to match your line.

  1. Create the waitlist

Sign in, click New waitlist, and name it "This week's classes". It starts as a draft, so nothing is public until you publish.

  2. Set capacity to 40 per week

In Settings, set the capacity to 40 per week and the reset to Sun at 8:00 PM. The count starts over at every reset; nothing is deleted.

  3. Leave the hours open

Under Hours, leave the schedule off so people can join at any time. You can pause the list by hand whenever you need to.

  4. Add the form fields

Email is built in. On the Form tab, add Name (required), Experience. Labels and help text render as plain text.

  5. Add the "Class" time slots

On the Form tab, add a Time slot field named "Class" with Monday 7:00 AM, vinyasa (14), Wednesday 6:30 PM, yin (12), Saturday 9:00 AM, slow flow (14). Each slot fills on its own and reads as full when its spots are taken.

  6. Show the counter

In Settings, turn on the counter so the form shows how many spots are left. People join faster when they can see the number.

  7. Publish and share

Click Publish. The Share tab has the hosted link, a QR code, and the script tag or iframe for your site. The submit button reads "Save my mat".

FAQ

Questions people here ask

Can each class have its own cap?

One capacity per waitlist. For a per-class cap, create a waitlist per class and put all three links on one page.

Does deleting a cancelled student free a mat?

Yes. The count is derived from entries, so removing one reopens a spot for the week.

Can I collect class fees?

No. Unwaited does not take payments. Use the export to send payment links or charge at the door.
